The Versilia coast extends in the northwest of Tuscany in the province of Lucca. Its name comes from the river of the same name, which flows here into the Mediterranean Sea. The Etruscan Riviera’s 90 km of coastline is home to well-preserved Etruscan finds that were settled and traded here as early as 800 BC. The coast in Baratti, Castiglioncello, Livorno and Quercianella is interrupted by unmistakable, reddish granite rocks. Many small bays with their beautiful, lonely sandy beaches invite you to sunbathe.

At San Vincenzo, Vada and the Gulf of Baratti you will find fine white sandy beaches, which alternate with slightly darker beaches in Cecia Bibbona and Castagneto.
