Is Italiaplus a travel agency?

No, Italiaplus is a registered tour operator and organizes specially designed trips and events in Italy. After making your deposit, you will receive a legally required travel security certificate, protecting you against the potential insolvency of Italiaplus.

Does Italiaplus have
insolvency insurance?

Yes, Italiaplus has customer deposit protection through the German reinsurer R+V. As a customer, you will receive the legally required travel security certificate after making your deposit, safeguarding you against the potential insolvency of Italiaplus.

What is the recommended
travel season?

For trips to Italy, we particularly recommend spring and autumn. June is ideal for a beach holiday. It is advisable to avoid July and August due to the Italian summer holidays.

What events has Italiaplus already organized?

Here is a selection of incentives and conferences we have organized in Italy:

- Family event with a conference and active program at Lake Maggiore for 320 participants

- Annual meeting with a team challenge and gala evening for all branch managers on the Ligurian coast for 80 international participants

- Team trophy challenge in Tuscany and Piedmont for about 40 participants each

Does Italiaplus offer consultancy services?

Yes, we are happy to assist as consultants for Italy, for example in the following cases:

- You are already advanced in planning your event in Italy but now need support in a specific area.

- You are experiencing communication issues with Italians or facing language barriers.

- You need help with location research, selection, obtaining permits for filming, etc.

Does Italiaplus also organize private events?

Yes, we are happy to support you in organizing private events in Italy, such as:

- Weddings (destination weddings) including required documents, fully organized by our wedding planner

- Birthday parties, anniversaries of all kinds, and classy bachelor or bachelorette parties, including transfers, accommodation, and programs

Does Italiaplus organize hybrid events?

Our core expertise is in offline events in Italy. However, we are happy to help organize a hybrid event—an event that takes place both offline and online. We will gladly arrange a free initial consultation to understand your requirements and discuss your vision, and we will then explore the options together. We do not organize fully digital online events.

What assurances does Italiaplus offer?

We are a registered German tour operator and event agency, and we offer:

- All deposits you make to us are secured against potential insolvency by our reinsurer, R+V.

- We have liability insurance for personal and property damage, as well as financial loss liability insurance for all participants.

- Special risks (e.g., sports-related) can be insured upon request.

- Expertise and event experience for over 20 years.

What agency services does Italiaplus offer?

Upon request, we will gladly send you a detailed overview of all the services we offer for conferences, incentives, and other corporate events.

How does the agency compensation work?

Our agency compensation can be arranged in one of the following ways:

- You receive a complete package, including our agency fee, and a detailed breakdown of all event services.

- You receive a complete event package, and we list our agency fee separately.

- We create a detailed invoice for our services based on agreed hourly or daily rates.

How do I keep track of costs?

You will receive an event or travel offer from us that includes:

- A description of the travel destination and area

- A breakdown of all services (hotel/s, location/s, activities, teambuilding/s, etc.)

- A detailed cost breakdown for all event modules during the offer phase

- We continuously update this cost breakdown throughout the planning phase to ensure absolute budget certainty.

Who will be working on my project?

Yes, that is certainly possible. However, the planning and organizational effort is often underestimated. With us as a professional agency, you save valuable resources and can use the time gained for other projects. We only work with competent providers who have experience with groups and events. As a tour operator, we also have special rates, so using our agency services does not cost more than booking directly.

In what language will I receive the offer and documents?

You will generally receive the offer, all documentation, and correspondence for your event in Italy in German. We are happy to provide all event documents in English as well. Offers and event concepts in other languages, such as Spanish, Italian, and French, are available upon request.

Can I visit the venues in advance?

Yes, we can organize a preliminary site visit to the destination area for you. We will show you the destination, hotels, locations, and activities and discuss the event elements on-site. The site visit planning will be coordinated with you and can take place before or after booking.

Can I book my event without an agency?

In der Regel betreuen wir alle Gruppen persönlich und stehen als Projektleiter vor Ort und bereits im Vorfeld für die Vorreise zur Verfügung. Je nach Gruppengröße greifen wir bei großen Gruppen oder bei umfangreichen Events auf unser langjähriges Netzwerk an Eventmanagern, Projektleitern und Projektassistenten zurück. Wir sprechen deutsch, englisch, italienisch, spanisch und französisch. Weitere Sprachen können wir durch kompetente Freelancer abdecken.

Do I receive checklists, schedules, etc.?

Yes, of course! As part of the travel and event planning process, you will receive:

- Checklists for event planning, needs assessment, and site visit execution

- Travel information and current COVID-19 travel updates for Italy, as well as last-minute travel information

- Detailed schedules for each event day or a detailed travel program for each day

- Packing lists for participants

- Vouchers for all services

How does the offer phase with Italiaplus work?

We will conduct a free initial phone call or Zoom meeting with you to discuss your event wishes. We will research and send your specific event inquiry to our service partners. You will receive an event or travel offer from us with a description of the destination and area, a breakdown of all services (hotel/s, location/s, activities, teambuilding/s, etc.), and a detailed cost breakdown for all travel and event modules. You then choose, and your event in Italy becomes more concrete.

How far in advance should I start planning my event?

The sooner your travel plans are set, the greater the selection of possible locations and hotels. The larger the group and therefore the number of hotel rooms and meeting spaces needed, the earlier the planning should start. Italian holidays and festivals should be considered when planning your event. As a rule of thumb, weekends are more heavily booked than weekdays. For events in May, June, and September, early booking is advisable. Have a last-minute event? Contact us!

Can Italiaplus accommodate special requests?

Does Italiaplus also offer flight bookings?

We are happy to provide you with an offer for group flights or a charter flight. We work with professional providers in this area and take care of all the preliminary reservations. Clients can choose to handle the final details directly or leave it to us.
