We, Barbara Stadlmann from Austria and Christine Rhodovi from Germany, met each other in the North Italian town of Sestri Levante in 2005. We both lost our hearts in this beautiful town and found our second home in Liguria. We shared not only our love of Italy, Italian cuisine and “dolce vita”, but also our professional roots as tour operators and event managers. Over the years, we decided to raise our shared passion to another levelby making our passion our business.
In the year 2009, we finally founded our first own company “Liguriaplus”. In the following years we convinced more and more of our clients of our services as tour-operators, event agents and DMC for Liguria.

The demand for our tailor-made tours and events increased steadily. With passion and drive we created new products, innovative event ideas, tailor-made journeys and authentic experiences. With growing demand, we expanded the range of our products. Over the years, we built up a network of hotels and specialized providers from the family-run pizzeria to the expert for outdoor teambuilding. Thanks to the high standard of our products, authentic experiences and our personal on-site service, we were able to convince our clients to stick with us and to book new journeys and events every year. At the request of our clients, we added further Italian regions, such as Piedmont, the Marches, Umbria and Apulia to our portfolio.
At the beginning of 2015, we founded the “Italiaplus Travel & Events GmbH“. The „plus“ in Italiaplus stands for the added value we give our clients with each journey.
